It is currently day 3 of the conference and I have already seen dozens of talks and hundreds of posters, spanning everything from ocean simulations for a snowball earth to biological production in coastal Antarctic Polynyas and a particularly informative workshop on social media for scientists.
For me personally, Peter Gent's talk was a highlight as he tried to reinforce that his Gent-McWilliams eddy parameterisation can get eddy compensation right, if only people allowed it to vary spatially and temporally and didn't artificially cap the maximum value in coarser resolution models.
Not to forget my fellow students of course, Alice, Shirley and myself all have posters up for display during the week that you can view without having to fly all the way over here (just click one the names).
